Being a full time professional family-oriented fishing guide is my sole career.  I have worked very hard and continue to do so every day to take my clients out on the best guided fishing trip they have ever been on.  I am among a small handful of expert guides in Branson who are going to make sure that you catch a lot of fish and have a fun, exciting and safe guided fishing trip.  Unfortunately, there are far more part-time, unlicensed  and often  uninsured fishing guides who are not considered experts by anyone’s standards but their own. Frequently they work elsewhere in other occupations and drive into Branson just to guide on the weekends.

I do a lot to separate myself from the other local fishing guides.  One of the most important differences is that I never fish personally while I am taking you out on a guided fishing trip, insuring you get 100% of my attention.  I focus on boat control, untangling lines and netting fish; if someone needs help casting or wants to try a different lure or fly, I am right there to assist. You can focus on your own fishing and not worry if someone’s line is tangled–I will take care of it.

My boats and tackle are customized.  Almost all of the lures and flies we’ll use, I make myself.  I don’t sell them online or in a marina, so the only times the fish see them are when clients  are fishing with me.  I live right on the lake and I am on the water every day trying new flies and keeping track of where the fish are and what colors they are biting on. (Unlike some of the other fishing guides, who don’t live anywhere near the lake and have no idea what the fish are doing and what the lake conditions are.)

I am a licensed, insured, Coast Guard approved Captain, Merchant Marine Officer and a Missouri Master Angler.  I am trained in first aid and CPR and am an expert boat operator.  I have taken thousands of men, women and children fishing over the last decade and no one has ever come back to the dock without catching fish. In fact, I have been offering a “catch fish or your money back” guarantee for a decade, but we have caught fish on every single trip. In 2014 The Kansas City Star  featured an article on me after I had taken 3000 groups fishing,  including young children, and all of them caught fish. I have never brought my clients back to the dock empty-handed.

Taking individuals, couples, families and groups fishing is a normal work week for me.  I provide all of the tackle, equipment, gas, baits, fly rods, poles and ice water on every trip. Fish cleaning and packaging are included also.  There are no hidden fees or charges; everything you need is included in the price.  Kids do really well–it is amazing how intently they focus when the fish are biting!  I also contribute a lot of time to charity and fundraising trips including taking injured veterans out fishing every year as a captain for Healing Waters and the Wounded Warrior Project.  I hope you will give me the opportunity to be your fishing guide while in Branson and to provide you and your family a fun, exciting and safe fishing trip.  If I happen to be booked on the day you want to go fishing, I am always happy to give a recommendation for another local, licensed professional fishing guide.
